Differences Between Device and Remote Control

Although the interface shown by the device and the remote control is almost identical, there are key differences that are important to consider. These differences are detailed below.

Box Layout

  • The boxes have a fixed size of 1x1 and are arranged sequentially, regardless of the resolution of the mobile device or the box settings.
  • Landscape mode is only available on devices with large screens, such as tablets. It is not supported on phones.

Video Intercom Feature

  • Incoming call notifications are not received.
  • It is not possible to open preview panels or make internal calls.
  • The call log is available.

Notifications

  • No notifications are shown when a device is connected via USB.
  • Actions related to icon importation are also not notified.

Acceptance of Terms of Use

  • In versions 4.0 and earlier, the terms of use acceptance panel is not shown on the remote control.
  • Starting from version 4.1, if the terms have not been accepted on the physical screen, they will also appear on the remote control.

Cleaning Function

  • The cleaning function is not active on the remote control. This function is designed to prevent accidental presses on the physical device during cleaning.

Inactivity Event

  • The inactivity event is ignored on the remote control.
  • The app does not automatically return to the main page after the inactivity period, as this behavior depends on the physical device's proximity sensor, a feature that does not apply to the remote control.

Alarms

  • There is no automatic switch to the active alarm page when an alarm is detected.

Configuration

  • In the device modal, the brightness control appears as a visual indicator. It does not affect the brightness of the mobile device.
