Voice Control Assistants

A voice assistant is a third-party device that, through its own application, allows controlling and monitoring home automation devices of a user. This is achieved by linking the assistant's account with the Zennio Remote user account.


Alexa

Prerequisites

  • A KNX installation with a compatible touchscreen (version 3.4 or higher).
  • The Zennio Remote mobile application must be installed.
  • A registered Zennio Remote account with a username and password.
  • The touchscreen with a ZenVoice license must be paired in the Zennio Remote application.
  • The desired control must be configured on the touchscreen as a voice-controllable device.

Instructions

  1. Search for the ZenVoice skill in the Amazon Alexa app and add it.
  2. Press the Enable to use button.
  3. Enter the Zennio account credentials in the window that appears.
  4. Once authenticated, the devices configured through ZenVoice will be detected.

After activating the skill, the authentication will be valid for a period of 10 years. After this time, it will be necessary to deactivate and reactivate the skill to log in again.

Google Home

Prerequisites

  • A KNX installation with a compatible touchscreen (version 3.5 or higher).
  • The Zennio Remote mobile application must be installed.
  • A registered Zennio Remote account with a username and password.
  • The touchscreen with a ZenVoice license must be paired in the Zennio Remote application.
  • The desired control must be configured on the touchscreen as a voice-controllable device.

Instructions

  1. Search for ZenVoice Action in Google Home and add it.
  2. Press Add and Manage, then Set Up Device, and finally Works with Google.
  3. In the list of services, select ZenVoice and enter the Zennio account credentials in the pop-up window.
  4. Once authenticated, the devices configured through ZenVoice will be detected.

You must have created at least one voice-controllable device to add the ZenVoice Google Action to Google Home.

After activating the Google Action, the authentication will be valid for a period of 10 years. After this time, it will be necessary to deactivate and reactivate the Google Action to log in again.

Available Languages

The ZenVoice Google Action is available in all languages supported by Google, including at least the same ones as the Alexa skill.
